Grouse Comparison

This year I will calculate exactly how many acres we have placed back into tame mixed hay and riparian areas on our property over the last 9 years. The sharptails have responded. A few years ago as I was driving across our hay fields a covey burst up next to me. For a quarter mile I drove eye-to-eye with them, just beyond arm's reach. They scrutinized me the whole way. It was a terrific moment...
