You certainly lucked out on the free-falling snows. I don't see that much here even with the thousands of geese here right now.
I think that it had a lot to do with the way the wind was blowing and the direction the geese needed to fly. I have noticed that the Canada Geese tend to do it more coming into the wind as well.
