Holly, Grazing can have in impact on grouse populations but it all depends on how the grazing is managed and the landscape the grazing is occurring in. The primary impact from grazing occurs when it is occurs too often and too long over a large area resulting in little cover to help protect the females and their eggs when they are on the nest.

gorgeous photos. Have a question for you though...does grazing livestock hurt or help the grouse? Is grazing livestock even an issue with the grouse?
